About Us
We are the Night Owl Book Society (aka N.O.B.S.), a book club group that meets weeknights in the Downtown Orlando & Winter Park area! Our mission is to create a welcoming environment for socializing and bonding with other readers while discussing engaging books!
We run two book club discussion meetings a month (come to one or both) along with a group outing or event. Some of our past events have included book swaps and visiting local book stores.
Meet our Mascot
Oscar the Night Owl
Meet Oscar the Night Owl, the beloved mascot of the Night Owl Book Society. Born under a canopy of twinkling stars, Oscar has always had a passion for stories. Legend has it that he learned to read by perching on the shoulders of travelers who carried books under the moonlight.
Oscar's favorite genre is historical fiction—he claims he remembers some of the events described! But he's also partial to thrilling mysteries. Known for his wisdom and charm, Oscar is always ready with a thoughtful quote or an insightful question to keep book discussions lively.
When he's not tucked into a cozy nook with his latest read, Oscar enjoys brewing herbal teas, collecting buttons, and hooting cheerful encouragement to all members of the society. As the heart of the club, he reminds everyone that great stories are best shared together.
Meet our Founders
Sarina Greenway
Sarina is an outgoing introvert who always has at least three books in progress at any given time. A lover of all things fantasy, she’s constantly seeking out magical worlds to escape into—especially ones with a hefty serving of romance. She also has a passion for collecting special edition books, with a soft spot for indie recs. When she’s not reading, she’s likely spending time with her husband and three cats or indulging in her favorite guilty pleasure: 90 Day Fiancé.
